Rollin’ & Scratchin’

There’s been lots of speculation going on surrounding what Daft Punk is up to these days. Their directorial debut, ‘Electroma’ was just released a couple weeks ago to critical acclaim and a recent interview on Pitchfork with former manager, Pedro Winter (aka Busy P) dropped a hint that they are in L.A. working on a new album (fingers crossed we see it before another six years passes). We know Guy-man has been busy with the after shock of producing ‘Sexuality’, Sebastien Tellier’s latest opus, but what about our man, Thomas?

Whatever the case may be, DP tracks continue to be reworked and their legacy lives on. One such track is Thomas Bangalter’s, ‘Colossus’. I’m not too sure how old this track is, but it’s got 1997 French Touch written all over it. If only more of these hidden gems would pop up for us to have fun with.

And if you haven’t seen Electroma yet, go check it out. It’s quite a good artsy fartsy type movie. Here’s the opening track from Todd Rundgren, which fits the opening scene perfectly.
