Rollin’ & Scratchin’

We’ve always had a pretty close relationship with several overseas labels and agents.  Back in the day we’ve seen artists such as Syme (Norway), We Are Standard (Spain), and Wong Boys (Denmark) play our parties to our warm and embracing audiences.  Well, this coming Friday we’re continuing our journey into international waters by presenting to you, The William Blakes (Denmark)!!!!!

The William Blakes have made quite a splash in Europe with their guitar driven orchestral take on the modern day pop song.  The songs are soaring and majestic but full of cracks and sharp edges. This is music made without fear. Their debut album was recorded and mixed in 5 days in a wooden house in neighbouring country Sweden’s countryside. Oh yeah, and did we mention their first album was named after Flaming Lips front man, Wayne Coyne?  Ya, so their alright in our books!

All background info aside, The William Blakes make an impressive collection of songs that is rumoured to be spectacular live.  Think along the lines of Arcade Fire meets Duran Duran.  As always, here’s some clips and music for you to decide for yourself!
