Rollin’ & Scratchin’

We were pleasantly surprised on Friday when it was announced that our favourite Austin TX rockers, Spoon, would be returning this summer with a new EP out on Merge Records June 30th.   After the huge success of ‘Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga’, I was eagerly awaiting any news on new material from Britt Daniels and Co.  It’s tough when you over play an album in the first two weeks you’ve got it!

Well, not to worry, because they’ve dropped the first single off of the EP of the same name, ‘Got Nuffin’.  Though it’s nothing out of the ordinary for Spoon, it’s as good as anything they’ve done before.  All we can hoep for now is that they decide to tour this EP and come through our city again.  I’m thinking a small club tour is in order.
