Rollin’ & Scratchin’

Just when you thought it was safe in the club, Helsinki Finland gets medieval on our asses! I’ve heard the Top Billin’ name thrown around the blog world for a while now, but it wasn’t until I heard about the side project from Sir Nenis and DJ Pushups, Sharkslayer, that I really took notice of what was going on. It’s not the b-more crunk that’s made Top Billin’ a household name, but rather Sharkslayer has been getting a lot of attention for their bass driven take on an old school electro house sound.

It wouldn’t be Top Billin’ if there wasn’t a little bit of hokey 70’s classic rock fun along the way. Of course Sharkslayer have stayed true to their sampling roots with Top Billin’. Check out their makeover of Foreigner’s ‘Cold As Ice’ to see what I’m talking about. As for what’s up next, it’s hard to say. But one thing is for sure, next time your swimming in the ocean, make sure you don’t have any open wounds, Sharks love the smell of blood!
