Rollin’ & Scratchin’

It’s no secret that over the last year or so, Radiohead have become somewhat of marketing geniuses.  In October ‘07, they became the first band to release their music on a “pay what you want” basis.  The in December ‘07, they released a stream of video’s previewing their new album as the “Scotch Mist Sessions”.  Then of course the fly towards global domination with their current world tour (on many dates which there have been countless witnesses claiming rainbows filled the skies the night of their performance – guilty as charged).

Now, they’ve taken a somewhat more mainstream approach by giving fans and mega-producers alike, the opportunity to remix their new songs.  As a result, thousands of remixes have popped up on the internet.  The first was “Nude”, for which Holy Fuck prevailed and presented a remix that was nothing short of spectacular.  Next up, it’s for “Reckoner”.  Diplo has already graced us with an official reworking, but I’m excited to see what else comes up.
