Rollin’ & Scratchin’

Here at R&S we love bringing you the new heat and whats tearing up dancefloors across the world. However, our musical tastes aren’t limited to what’s going on in the club scene. Like most people we listen to music 24/7 and we are into many artists and many genres.

One of my personal favorites is Prince and I think it should be illegal to run a music blog and not post about Prince at least once. So here it is. Many of you may know the name but not be familiar with his songs beyond 1999 or When Doves Cry.

I’ve been obsessed with the movie Purple Rain for a little while now and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to post not only one of my favorite songs off the album, but one of my favorite songs of all time.

Now this song starts off pretty slow and tame but trust, put the time into this song and at around the 3:20 mark you will be greatly rewarded with the funky emotion only Prince can bring.

BONUS: Because we are an electronic/club leaning blog here is a Tepr remix of another great Prince song. I would get the weirdest looks when I dropped this in sets but who cares, we all know Prince rules.
