Actually the guys who designed the Daft Punk pyramid also designed Etienne's cube. And i personally think they have lot's of things in common, besides their designers

Thanks for the comment JackAttack. I can't speak for Brian but I think what he was getting at was that the use of linear lighting, geometric shapes, and putting the performers inside these elevated stages is similar to the Daft Punk pyramid from their Alive show. Yes, there are differences but the similarities are surely undeniable. I doubt anyone is ripping off anyone and it may simply be a way to pay homage to pioneering thinkers while providing their own take on the matter. We live in a remix culture and sometimes it may be better to appreciate the whole spectrum of the creative output of artists rather than focusing on what divides us/them.

I'm not sure how you're making the connection - Daft Punk didn't use any projection-mapped visuals in their live show. And there's not a pyramid in sight. While Daft Punk's light-show was absolutely amazing, this is an altogether more clever and fantastic set-up. So much so that it was ripped off by The Killers at the MTV awards last week (YouTube it).
