Rollin’ & Scratchin’

I’ve always been a person that appreciates the moment, and I think it’s safe to say that when a song strikes the right cord and fits my mood, I’ll preach the sermon!  Joel Plaskett has always been this type of artist for me.  No matter how unashamedly cliche his lyrics and music are, his writing always manages to relate to me as a listener.  Nevermind the fact that it’s always catchy as hell!!

His newest effort, ‘Three’ definitely doesn’t resonate as a classic like his last album,  ‘Ashtray Rock’ (which I voted top album of 2007).  Nevertheless, being 27 songs in length, there’s bound to be some good ones amongst the group.  “Through, Through, Through” will have you singing along to the chorus the first listen around, and the video…..well the video is a lot of fun too.  And just for your listening pleasure, I’ve included my soundtrack song for a summer’s evening.
