I first started listening to the Metal Faced Villain back in 2000 when my older brother came home from University in the States where he lived with a bunch of hip hop wielding New Yorkers.  Being in the NY State of Mind that I was back then, I instantly gravitated towards this uniquely bizarre MC who wore a mask and rapped about world domination.

Ten years later, and a career’s worth of controversy, MF DOOM (now just DOOM) is back to finish what he started.  In a very recent and honest interview in the New Yorker, DOOM explains the evolution of the Metal Faced Villain, sending impostors out on stage to lip synch his live shows, and what’s next for MF.  No apologies made.  He’s just trying to ‘control’ the story.
