Blur Reunite! Finally!!! - Rollin' & Scratchin'

Blur Reunite! FOR REAL THIS TIME!!!!!!

Since their hiatus after 2003’s ‘Think Tank’, the members of Blur have teased their fans by hinting at a long rumoured reunion.  Well, this time it’s for real people! Yes, that’s right. It appears as though Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon have put aside their differences and are bringing back the original line up that hasn’t appeared on stage together since 2000.

It’s not as if the members haven’t been keeping busy.  We all know Albarn has been busy with his various collaborative projects such as Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad and The Queen; but what of the others? Well, Coxon has kept busy with his own solo project and bassist Alex James has been busy being an astronomy enthusiast hosting documentaries about space shuttles (seriously).  Well it’s time to bring back the love.

Blur have announced that they will perform at a special performance on July 3rd, 2009 in London’s Hyde Park. No other details have been released, but you can be sure that all the hype could turn into a full blown reunion tour (fingers crossed). Can you say, ‘Coachella Reunion Show 2009?”… We’ll have to wait and see. a new album might be nice too!

Blur – Girls and Boys

Blur – Coffee and TV

And for all you naysayers out there, here’s a little piece of Blur in harmony with their fantastic track, ‘Tender’.

  1. Not the biggest fan ever, though am looking forward to the reunion, as well as a cracking Hyde Park day out at one of their shows next year. Girls & Boys was always my fav track by the band!

  2. Blur is the best band of the 90’s, well pop band at least, they showed change and creativity far better than oasis, who stuck with that poppy feel (Dig our your soul) while blur changed from pop to electronic to acoustic (Think Tank, Tender)
