Rollin’ & Scratchin’

Let’s keep rollin with the Canadian talent that we have been profiling recently. There are just so many great canadian electronic artists (MSTRKRFT, Jokers of the Scene, DJ Barletta, CFCF, Hatchmatik, Sta, and many more), we can sometimes forget about old friends.

The old friends I’m referring to are VND/LSM. You remember them, right? They did that nasty remix of Rihanna’s umbrella which ended up making every DJ’s night when some young girl would request umbrella and you would throw the VND/LSM remix on instead. Yea… good times.

Well since we last checked in on them they have changed their name and are now operating under the pseudonym AutoErotique and have released some new tunes. I like to refer to them as growers. They may not blow your mind when you first listen to them but over time I have found myself coming back to them over and over again and have now made their way onto my newest mixtape for my car (high praise indeed). Personal favorite of mine is Hey You Hey Me with its XXX lyrics and weird rap funk beat but Gladiator can definitely create some mental illness and d-floor havoc.
