Rollin’ & Scratchin’

In preparation to hit the town for a Friday night, a friend of mine from New York turned me onto the latest video from Animal Collective. Having been a fan for a while, I felt somewhat shameful that I had never seen this video for ‘My Girls’. It amazes me how I continue to be impressed with music videos these days. This particular reel is a trip out that reminds me of the Wolfman Radio Show on Hilarious House Of Frightenstein.

This is perhaps the most cross-genered, pop friendly track from these experimental troupe, but don’t be fooled, they have several freak outs left in them.  And for all you DJs and beat junkies out there, check out Gigamesh’s “proper house mix” of ‘My Girls’.  Also, be on the look out for Animal Collective in a city near you on their largely sold out World Tour this summer.
