Dear Avalanches,

We are writing to tell you that we miss you very much. Since you left us with ‘Since I Left You’ over six years ago now, we’ve been through a lot of ups and downs. Various mash-up mishaps, a disco relapse, and a lot of rubbish in between. No one could ever seem to do it as well as you do, though. But we’ve forever held on to that dream of the day you’d come back to brighten our lives with more of your sampledelic, latin infused, dance music that we all miss so badly.

Six years is a long time without a phone call, email, or at least a track or two for us to cuddle through those cold, lonely, nights while we wait to hear from you. Sure, you’ve teased us with a few mixtapes, re-releases and remixes, but we yearn for that 2nd album you’ve dangled in front of us for so long now. Please don’t make us wait much longer. Summer is half over, and…well…things are just better when you’re around.
