Benjamin Diamond might be known best for his work as part of high-flying supergroup Stardust, but his solo work needs a bit of love too.

Although he could easily come off as a blog-house Timberlake, BD’s tracks keep the hooks fresh and still strike back to some 1996 French Touch love.

We were pleasantly surprised on Friday when it was announced that our favourite Austin TX rockers, Spoon, would be returning this summer with a new EP out on Merge Records June 30th.   After the huge success of ‘Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga’, I was eagerly awaiting any news on new material from Britt Daniels and Co.  It’s tough when you over play an album in the first two weeks you’ve got it!

Well, not to worry, because they’ve dropped the first single off of the EP of the same name, ‘Got Nuffin’.  Though it’s nothing out of the ordinary for Spoon, it’s as good as anything they’ve done before.  All we can hoep for now is that they decide to tour this EP and come through our city again.  I’m thinking a small club tour is in order.

It actually took me a really long time to get into LMFAO, but I have to admit - I’m in Miami Bitch! snuck up on me. After exploring a few of their prime cuts, including an ode to alcoholics called Shots featuring none other than Lil’ Jon, I became a full out fan.

Just 10 minutes ago, while checking Kanye’s blog, I came across a new remix of his track Paranoid by none other than my new favorite act. It turns out to be that kind of track that switches on you every 16 bars, and keeps you on your toes leading up to a real dirty break at the 2:20 mark - a beat that catches you off guard and your face automatically contorts itself into a really disgusted expression and your head starts bobbing. You know what I’m talking about.
